Archery

Archery has grown enormously in recent years and the Centralville Sportsmen’s Club offers excellent facilities to learn archery or to practice your skills. We have a certified level-1 archery instructor who is always willing to help new archers learn the sport or to give pointers to more experienced archers. There are several target stands and the club maintains a 1.5 mile, 30-station 3-D course in the woods for members to practice and which members also find is a great place to walk their dogs or to just enjoy the woods. The club hosts several Granite State Archery Shoots each year attracting archery enthusiasts from all over the area. Planned activities for archery include Cub Scout, Boy Scout, and Crew 308 shoots as well as a Kids Day event for member’s children. We are also in the process of starting a team to compete in league meets against other clubs.

The 30-Station 3-D Archery Course

GRANITE STATE BOWHUNTERS 3-D SHOOT

The Centralville Sportsmen’s Club has hosted several great GSB 3-D shoots at the club. We usually have over 50 participants enjoying the 3-D course and we receive lots of positive comments about the club. 3D archery shoots are open to the public. All ages, skill levels, and most equipment types are welcome (no crossbows, sorry!)

Click here for the GSB website.
The 30 station course is set on the 52-acre wooded property of the Centralville Sportsmen’s Club and presents a wide range of simulated bowhunting scenarios including everything from small game to large predators. There is something for everyone to enjoy from junior to senior. The 1.5-mile course is easy to follow, a practice area is available, and we have a special challenge for those with long range skills! Easter Egg Hunt!

The Archery Committee planned, organized, and held an Easter Egg hunt for the club’s families. 1,500 Eggs were placed in the archery field and the kids had a blast.
